Account Balance Terms

Your Topup balance is prepaid store credit you can use to pay for products in our catalogue faster. These terms explain exactly what it is — and, importantly, what it is not.

1. What the balance is

The account balance is closed-loop store credit. It can be used for one purpose only: to pay for digital products we sell — prepaid top-ups and gift-card vouchers — within the Topup catalogue. It exists solely to make checkout faster and to hold promotional or referral credit we grant you.

2. What the balance is NOT

  • It is not electronic money (e-money) and not a payment instrument.
  • It is not a bank account, deposit, or savings product, and it earns no interest.
  • It cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for cash.
  • It cannot be transferred or sent to another user or third party.
  • It cannot be used outside the Topup catalogue.

Because it can only be spent on our own goods within a limited network, the balance operates as a closed-loop store-credit scheme and is not regulated as electronic money.

3. Topping up

You can add credit to your balance using a supported payment method. Top-ups are credited to your balance for the purpose of future purchases. Any statutory right of withdrawal you may have as a consumer is unaffected by these terms.

4. Spending and order priority

When you pay for an order with your balance, we debit it for the order total and record the transaction in your balance ledger with a running balance. If your balance does not cover the full total, you can top up or pay another way. Promotional credit may be applied before purchased credit.

5. Promotional and referral credit

Credit we grant for free — for example referral or welcome bonuses — is promotional. It may carry conditions, may not be withdrawable even where purchased credit might be refundable, and may expire. We may withhold or reverse promotional credit obtained through abuse, self-referral, or fraud.

6. Refunds to balance

Where an order cannot be fulfilled, we may refund the amount to your balance. Refunded credit follows these same Balance Terms.

7. Expiry, suspension and closure

We may suspend or forfeit balance in cases of fraud or abuse. If your account is closed, any remaining purchased credit will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law; promotional credit is forfeited. We will give reasonable notice of any expiry policy that applies to purchased credit.

8. No financial services

The balance is issued by Hytrenda OÜ (a private limited company (osaühing) registered in Estonia) solely as store credit for its own catalogue. Nothing about the balance constitutes banking, e-money issuance, money transmission, investment, or any other regulated financial service. The balance is a convenience feature of a retail purchase relationship.
